Santa Clara, CA FEB 2009 – Over 65,000 construction professionals gathered from the 3rd to the 6th of February at the Las Vegas Convention Center to meet fellow professionals, see the latest technologies and to discuss the state of the industry with experts at the World of Concrete.

World of Concrete is hosted both indoor and outdoor on over 850,000 square feet of exhibit space. It is the industry's ONLY annual international event dedicated to the commercial concrete and masonry construction industries. The industry's leading suppliers attend the show to premiere innovative products as well as demonstrate their latest technologies.

Despite an almost 25% drop in attendance over 2008, Alibaba.com’s booth continued to draw large crowds, thanks to a favorable booth location and exciting activities “Our ‘Aim for a World of Suppliers’ Game brought a lot of visitors to our booth,” said Mr. Cliff Hsia, Marketing Manager for Alibaba.com, “Many of them were intrigued with how Alibaba.com could help them find quality suppliers. Tools like our personalized, one-on-one matchmaking sessions also help visitors find new, low-cost alternatives to existing supply channels. Lower sourcing and purchasing costs mean higher profit margins.”
