Case Description:

An angry buyer sent an email to the Alibaba service team. They wrote: "A website has your logo on the bottom of their screen. I assumed it was a legit business. I sent USD $800 and received a bad mangled purse while I ordered 9. Are they allowed to have your logo there when they are not legit?"

Analysis of this case:

1) Alibaba.com checked the website thoroughly and we have absolutely no relationship with this website at all. In other words, the website had used the Alibaba logo on their homepage illegally. Alibaba's influence in global business is huge and growing rapidly every day. Unfortunately, sometimes fraudsters realise this, too. Every day, many new frauds are committed in the name of Alibaba. Alibaba.com is working hard to prevent this; however, you should always be on the look out for new scams.
