The ongoing global financial crisis has affected the motorcycle industry badly. Popular brands such as Honda are forecasted to have no growth in 2009 while Harley Davidson reported a 37% drop in its 4th quarter profits in 2008.
While some are pessimistic, some analysts are saying that the motorcycle industry can benefit from the financial crisis. Motorcycles (being more fuel efficient), can take advantage of the drop in oil prices and position themselves as a transportation solution during this difficult time.
