Question:

Hi how can I find about a company before doing business with them? The company in question is FF International Trading Co.

Answer:

Investigate, investigate and investigate if you are concerned about a company legitimacy. Do not be afraid to ask tough questions. For example, ask them to provide you with three references and call those references. Check their website carefully, talk to them several times and contact a chamber of commerce or government trade office to verify their legitimacy.

In first you have to know that people who sell something have most of the time a website and some references that they are proud to show.
I work with several companies in China and the best thing you have to do is going there to meet the people at least once a year.
Before sending them money, you can also tell them that you will visit their factory or office soon.

Replying to [Resources]:Before making any kind of payment, investigate the following:
1. Call on Landline and speak to the supplier, you must insisit on landline numbers and not mobile.
2.Ask for thier complete mailing address, with Pincode, most of the countries Pinc codes can be verified from thier repective country post office website
3. Check if he has Trust Pass Membership, because alibaba literally collects the registeration certificates and they also call the supplier and verify. A serious supplier should not worry to spend and get TrustPass membership for a small fees.
4. Always take F.O.B. Price and appoint your own shipping agent, so that you can also use his agent in buyers country to verify the supplier
