On Jan 14, 2003, a delegation led by the China Chamber of Commerce of Medicines & Health Products Importers & Exporters (CCCM-HPIE) visited the Alibaba U.S. office. Members in the delegation came from various small to medium sized pharmaceutical and medical companies and manufacturers in China.

During the two-hour visit in our U.S. office, Alibaba gave the delegation a presentation on Alibaba's China Suppliers program, Buyer Service activities in the U.S. and also information on U.S. buyer market as well as some advice on how to communicate with U.S. buyers more effectively.

In addition to Alibaba, the delegation also visited many other companies such as Oracle and Cisco in Silicon Valley. It was a study tour that allows the participating companies conduct technological exchanges, market their products, and research on both medicines/health industry and high tech industry in the U.S.
