Jack Ma, CEO of Alibaba.com, is invited as a keynote speaker in the 3rd World Knowledge Forum to be held in Seoul from Oct 16 to 18, 2002.

This non-profit event aims to raise the importance of human knowledge to be leveraged and shared to catalyze the process of value creation of a new and balanced prosperity of the globe. This annual event hosted by Korea's premier business daily, The Maeil Business Newspaper, together with strong support from Financial Times, Bloomberg, Forbes Global and Nihon Keizai Shimbun as well as the OECD, Global Knowledge Partnership and INSEAD.

This year's main theme is "Knowledge in a World of Risk: A Compass towards New Prosperity". Alibaba is invited as an epitome of the Business-to-Business model. Jack will participate in the topic discussion "Future Internet Trends: M-Commerce, B2B & B2C". Other speakers include Ellison Larry, CEO of Oracle; Johnson Donald, Chief Secretary of OECD; and Nobel Prize Winner Stiglitz Joseph E..

Past Event Review

The 2nd World Knowledge Forum was held on Oct 15 to 17, 2001, Seoul. Bill Gates, Chairman and Chief Software Architect of Microsoft delivered a speech on the opening day to show his bold vision before more than two thousand participants from the region's top business, politics and academy.
