Hong Kong, Sep 6 - The world's most-visited online B2B marketplace Alibaba.com has reached thousands of Turkish small and medium enterprises in alliance with Kobiline, Turkey's leading e-business platform.

Alibaba.com, being the e-commerce platform of millions of enterprises from more than 200 countries, is now serving opportunities to Turkish SMEs who want to extend their global reach. Kobiline members will be able to access the millions of trade leads in Alibaba.com through the co-branded http://alibaba.kobiline.com site.

Ms Cathy Zhang, Vice President of Alibaba.com announced the opening of the partner website on the Bilisim CEBIT Eurasia '02 in Istanbul, Turkey, and Mr. Jack Ma, Chief Executive Officer of Alibaba.com, also gave a keynote speech in the Bilisim Summit'02 conferences on September 05, 2002.
Titled "Lessons for Turkey: What has China learned from B2B?", Jack's speech received attention and applause from exhibition attendees, and in particular, Alibaba's 8000+ existing Turkish members.
Alibaba's strategic move into Turkey also attracted the attention from local media. The country's largest newspaper H¨¹rriyet had an interview with Jack Ma.
