Apr. 16, 2008 (China Knowledge) - The first direct flight between China and Mexico will be launched on May 29, Aero Mexico's Shanghai office told sources yesterday. Two flights will fly the Shanghai-Mexico City route every week. The Shanghai-Mexico City flight AM099, will take off from Shanghai every Thursday and Sunday, while the Mexico City-Shanghai flight AM098 will take off from Mexico City every Tuesday and Friday. Both frights will stop over Tijuana in Northwest Mexico. According to the figures from the Mexican Embassy, the number of Chinese visitors to Mexico increased 11% in 2006 compared with 2005. And it is also forecasted that more than 100,000 Chinese tourists visiting Mexico in five years' time.
