Orlando, February 2008: Nearly 92,000 housing professionals gathered in Orlando in February for the 2008 International Builders’ Show. With more than 1,900 leading suppliers in 300 industry categories, the exposition is the industry’s largest annual light construction trade show. This year’s show was the largest in IBS history with a record one million net square feet of exhibits, showcasing the most innovative products and services aimed specifically at the residential and light commercial construction industries.

Alibaba.com displayed an eye-catching 300 square foot booth in the China pavilion at the show floor. A theater demonstration and three company kiosks introduced our website, where many buyers learned about Alibaba.com for the first time. Our “Alibaba Treasure Hunt” game created a buzz on the show floor for buyers, and encouraged many of them to register to a free membership.
