Beware of Fraudulent "Too Good To be True" Deals from West Africa!
I had someone contact me through this medium and this turned out to be a scam.

Someone contacted me from Benin, West Africa posing as a trading agent for a military organization and wanted to buy a large volume of products from me without even sampling them. Pricing was not an issue, but the only catch was that I would have be personally present in Benin to sign the full contract, and I could not bring a lawyer with me.

I was already suspicious at the "too good to be true" nature of the deal but the requirement for me to be in Benin and without a lawyer caused me to be more wary. I called up the Chamber of Commerce in Benin and verified that the final consumer did not even exist in the country and they warned me that this was surely a scam.

Once they got me to Benin, they would ask me to pay for registering the deal and paying for lawyer fees for the procedure.

I promptly cancelled the deal and backed out. Please be careful of any contacts from West Africa and make sure you contact the local Chambers of Commerce/Trade Commissioners offcs to verify the ligitimacy of the companies.

Safe trading.

Quoting from [cautioustrader]: Safe trading.
A Mrs Seva Joel from Divine Grace Investment in Benin, Africa requested samples . I asked for government documents proving this was a legit trading co. What I got was a bad print of fraudulant papers. They then asked for mor4e free samples. When I requested freight payment they sent a nasty letter of refusal. Since then I have had other companies inform me of this practice and to be thankful I did not pay the "import" fees requested.
