The 8th Annual Southern California International Trade Conference, "Building Global Business Partnerships," presented by the Port of Los Angeles, Los Angeles World Airports, the Valley International Trade Association and the Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley, was held October 21 at Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City.
The event provided opportunities to more than 40 exhibitors presenting their products and services to some 200 business attendees who seek entrance into or expansion in the import-export industry.
Annie Jie Xu, Director of International Business Development & Partnerships for Alibaba in America, chaired the roundtable discussion “Opportunities in China.”

The event focused primarily on the messages from the Port of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles World Airport. Presentations entitled “How to Conduct Global Trade” and “Where to Conduct International Trade” were also included in the conference.

Alibaba’s eye-catching orange bags were the most popular items at the conference. We distributed 300 orange bags in the registration area. During the conference, Alibaba also had a tabletop exhibition that offered Alibaba brochures to conference attendees.
