Finding your market through competitive analysis

Competitive analysis gives you the information you need to determine how you will approach your market.

Central to producing an effective marketing program is the analysis of your competitors. Accurate competitive analysis gives you the information you need to determine how you will approach your market. Some key questions include:

  • Who are your competitors within your new market?

  • How many competitors do you have? 

  • What other foreign countries are you competing against? 

  • How much do your competitors charge for a similar product?

Make a basic list of:

  • Company names

  • Products

  • Prices

  • Promotions

  • Your opinions on the type of company image they project to their (your) target customers, i.e., does their advertising project a cheap or low-cost product or a luxury product?

How , it will be beneficial for the new startups. other thing, competitive analysis will be different to different industry.
