
Hee-Beom Lee
Hee-Beom Lee is the ex-minister for Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MOCIE) of Korea and has served as Chairman and CEO of Korea International Trade Association (KITA) since February 2006.
Established in 1946, KITA has grown into the largest trade promotion agency in Korea, representing 65,000 member companies. It continues to be the driving force behind Korea’s international trade by fostering trade experts, building cyber trade infrastructure, hosting international special exhibitions and international conferences and implementing new trade strategies.
Since 2006 Mr. Lee has been Chairman of the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board and Commissioners of National Economic Advisory Council. Prior to his current position at KITA, he was President of Seoul National University of Technology and Chairman and CEO of Korea Productivity Center.
He received his B.A. in Electronics Engineering from Seoul National University, Summa Cum Laude in MBA from George Washington University and PhD in Business Management from Kyunghee University. He was also awarded an honorary degree of PhD in Public Administration from Hoseo University.

Jack Ma
Jack Ma is a founder of the Alibaba Group and has been the company’s CEO since its inception in 1999. He is responsible for the overall strategy and focus of the entire Alibaba Group.
Jack is a pioneer in the Chinese Internet industry, founding China Pages in 1995 (one of the first Internet-based directories in China). From 1998 to 1999, he headed an information technology company established by the China International Electronic Commerce Center (CIECC), a department of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC).
Jack currently serves on the board of SOFTBANK CORP., a leading digital information company that is publicly traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. As a respected business leader, he was chosen by the World Economic Forum as a "Young Global Leader" in 2001; selected by China Central Television (CCTV) and its viewers as one of the "Top 10 Business Leaders of the Year" in 2004; and named one of the "25 Most Powerful Businesspeople in Asia" by Fortune Magazine in 2005. Jack is also a member of APEC Business Advisory Council, which was established by APEC in 1995 as the vehicle for formalizing private sector participation in APEC.
Jack holds a bachelor degree in English from Hangzhou Teacher's Institute.
Qi Li
Professor Qi Li is PhD supervisor in the area of e-commerce at Xi'an Jiaotong University. He is also the Vice Dean in the University’s School of Economics and Finance, Director of the e-Commerce Institute, Vice Director of e-Commerce Courses Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education and Director of the ICEC in China.
He has published more than 100 papers in domestic and foreign authoritative journals and more than 40 books. He has also completed about 18 national and provincial-level research projects and sponsored more than 20 e-commerce projects for enterprises and government.
In 1997, Professor Li was the first person awarded Doctorate in the field of e-commerce in China and subsequently became the country’s first Professor of e-commerce. He also published the first Chinese book about e-commerce named “the E-commerce in China” and founded the first e-commerce institute in China. In 2005, he successfully hosted the Seventh ICEC in Mainland China for the first time.
Hsi-Peng Lu
Hsi-Peng Lu is a Professor of MIS and Dean of Student Affairs at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. He received his PhD and M.S. degrees in Industry Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1992 and 1991 respectively. Working as a TV host since 1996, Dr. Lu has interviewed more than 1,000 CEOs in Taiwan, allowing him unique access and insight into the technology industry’s development policy and trends in Taiwan.
Dr. Lu gives more than 100 talks a year and has published more than 100 academic research articles in both Chinese and English: 15 of them are SSCI (Social Science Citation Index) journals. His research interests are in e-commerce, Internet marketing, managerial decision making, and management information systems. His work has appeared in international respected journals worldwide.

Song Ling

Qiping Jiang
Qiping Jiang is a deputy research fellow and Secretary-General of the Research Office of Informatization & Network Economics in the Institute Quantitative & Technical Economics (IQTE) of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).
Qiping Jiang has been focussing his research on China’s Internet Economy and informatization (development towards an information society) for years. He is also the author of the following publications: Internet life for the 21st Century (1998); Experience Economic (2004); Longtail Strategy (2006).

Yueting Chai
Doctor Chai received his PhD from Tsinghua University and now is a Professor in the Department of Automation at Tsinghua University. He is the university’s Vice President; Senior Engineer of the Computer Integrated Manufacturing System (CIMS) Institute; the Director of Supply-Chain Management and E-Commerce Lab; a member of the Advisory Committee for State Informatization; the Head of the Advisory Committee on Modern Logistics and E-commerce of MOST (the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC); the Consultant on Informatization and E-Commerce of NDRC (National Development and Reform Commission); a distinguished member of the China Automatic Identification Manufacture Association; and a Senior Member of CCF (China Computer Federation) and CAA (China Automatic Association).
Doctor Chai’s research interests include Enterprise Informatization; e-commerce; supply chain management; modern logistics and related theory; methodology, technology and systems implementation. He has been in charge of more than 20 research and engineering projects supported by the National Hi-tech Plan (863 Plan), Key Technologies R&D Program and more.
Doctor Chai has published over 80 articles and six books, including Agile Supply Chain Management; Integrated Enterprise Management Information System: Analysis, Design and Implement; and is on the editorial boards of the Journal of E-Commerce World. He is the recipient of various fellowships and awards including Progress Prize in Science and Technology of Beijing (twice); Leadership in Enterprise Informatization (twice, by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC); the Awards for Excellent Young Teacher of Tsinghua University; and Notable Application of Research.
